Ya nos ha llegado toda la información sobre el torneo de paintball más grande del mundo, la Copa del Mundo, se realiza todos los años cerca de Orlando en Florida - USA, es el evento al que asisten más equipos y tiendas en cualquier otro torneo a nivel mundial, se jugará desde el 21 al 24 de octubre en las instalaciones de Fantasy of Flight en Lakeland, Florida, este año tiene como novedad que han publicado el diseño del campo con mucha antelación para que los equipos puedan entrenar en el, demás esta decir que los equipos más importantes juegan este torneo, es la final de la PSP.
No han publicado aún si será retransmitido en directo por internet, pero en vista de que los demás eventos de la PSP no han sido retransmitidos no creo que lo hagan tampoco con este, será el fin de los torneos de paintball en directo?.

Paintball Sports Promotions and the entire paintball industry are gearing up for what has come to be the greatest and most anticipated paintball event of the entire year, every year - The PSP World Cup.
Held annually near Orlando, Florida, the PSP World Cup is the king of all paintball events. This is where products are launched, history is made and champions are crowned. And in the sport of tournament paintball, there is no other single feeling that will ever come close to topping that accomplishment, that feeling, that honor. And long after you lose teammates to girls, work, school or retirement - no one will ever be able to take that away from you. This is World Cup, and it all happens October 21 - 24, 2010 at Fantasy of Flight in Lakeland, Florida.
The Goods.
World Cup is known just as much for its Trade Show as it is for the culminating competition. Especially in tough economic times, companies tighten their marketing belts all year long just so they can splurge and impress at the PSP World Cup Trade Show. Massive compounds are set up by the industry leaders, such as DYE, DXS, Empire, and Planet Eclipse, each trying to out-do each other as they raise the bar, setting new standards with a launch of their 2011 products. Start-up companies that computer programmers and college students put their blood, sweat and tears into set up 10 x 10 tents to present their concept, their baby, their pitch to the largest gathering of souls in tournament paintball today.
Bloggers and photographers loom about days in advance to sneak peaks at the latest technology, trendiest apparel and sleekest designs. Store Owners and Field Operators from Seattle to Boston place orders at this event to outfit their company for the entire 2011 season. Fans flock to forums to predict event outcomes, review products and later post testimonials of witnessing - or pulling off - the greatest play of the event. League promoters and field operators from all over the world including Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Moscow, Melbourne and Tokyo, make the trek over seas to meet the industry's elite, organize meetings and bring back photos and stories to show that they were at the greatest event in the paintball universe.

The following field layout is being set up nationwide for teams to train on over the next several weeks leading to the October 21 - 24, 2010 PSP World Cup. The other teams will be practicing this, that I can guarantee. Do not fall behind, do not stumble by missing an opportunity to try new breakouts or run extra drills. En las ultimas dos semanas se han anunciado varias noticias importantes, PBLatino preparo este resumen de algunos de los hechos recientes que afectaran el paintball Internacional.
La liga mantuvo una reunion importante la semana pasada donde decidieron cambiar la rata de tiro a 12.5 a lo largo de todas las divisiones. Antes las divisiones inferiores estaban reguladas a 10.5bps, pero ahora podran tener la misma experiencia que las divisiones superiores.
Poco después PSP anuncio que Camille Lemanski acepto una oferta para encargarse de la promoción de eventos y las relaciones publicas de la liga. Camille viene con mucha experiencia en estos dos campos ya que trabajaba para la NPPL/USPL. PSP ahora tiene otro punto por encima de la NPPL ya que le ha arrebatado uno de sus talentos importantes a nivel organizativo.
PSP esta hablando sobre regular el color amarillo en el equipamiento de paintball, esta noticia esta por ser confirmada, pero obligaría a equipos que tradicionalmente visten de amarillo a reducir o eliminar el color de sus uniformes y/o equipo.
La ultima noticia que tenemos de PSP es que hoy han anunciado el nuevo layout para PSP Phoenix, donde muestran dos de los nuevos bunkers que se estarán usando este año el tall cake que es el mismo triangulo que de aprox. 1 metros de altura pero de una altura de 1.70 m (aprox.) y el otro es el brick, un bunker comúnmente visto en la NPPL que tiene una forma rectangular y delgada. De todas formas aquí están las imágenes del layout nuevo.

PSP prohibe el color amarillo
Esta es una noticia de la empresa Paintball Sports Promotions (PSP) que anuncia que para la temporada 2010 estará prohibido el color amarillo en toda la equipación de los jugadores, así mismo ahora esta permitido usar el color naranja en las equipaciones.
Para no ser tan estricto con esta nueva medida van a permitir que los equipos que tengan camisetas customizadas con el color amarillo y que puedan demostrar que fueron hechas a partir de marzo del 2009, que tengan el mismo nombre del equipo y que todos sus jugadores usen la misma, tendrán que enviar un email a tim@pspevents.com para que la PSP les permita utilizarlas por esta temporada.
Paintball Sports Promotions Announces Yellow as Restricted Equipment/Clothing Color
Grayson, GA - January 13, 2010 - In an effort to maintain the highest level of competition while preserving the integrity of the sport, Paintball Sports Promotions (PSP) has been working with the top paint manufacturers in the industry to make sure competitors have access to the highest quality of paint available that does not cause staining issues with PSP participants, spectators or event locations.
While decisions are still being reached in regards to paint colors for the 2010 season, the league has declared yellow as a restricted color which is only allowed in limited amounts on equipment and clothing.
In previous seasons, players were not allowed to have orange on their equipment or apparel. This was referred to as a "protected" color, so teams knew that if they were shooting orange paint, it would not "blend into" the opponent's equipment/gear. Orange paint fill is no longer allowed at PSP events (as well as pink and red) due to its staining nature. Therefore, beginning with the 2010 season, PSP will allow orange equipment/clothing and change the protected color to yellow.
As such, players may not wear or carry yellow clothing or equipment on the playing field, with the exception that yellow is allowed on clothing if no wider than 0.5 cm at any point, and no more than 10% of any 5cm by 5cm square. This allows teams to wear most sponsor logos on their jerseys, but prevents someone from stacking yellow stripes or dots together in the shoulders or other critical area. Clothing and equipment that interferes with a judge's ability to officiate the game will remain prohibited.
In an effort to minimize the impact of this rule change on teams who currently have customized jerseys with yellow in excess of the new restrictions, teams may petition for a one-season exemption from new restrictions. To receive an exemption, the jersey must be a custom jersey and the team must submit a photo of the current jersey, the artwork used to print the jersey, and an invoice from the jersey manufacturer for the jersey dated on or after March 1, 2009. This information must be submitted by January 29, 2010 to tim@pspevents.com. Exemptions will only be granted if the jerseys will not have a significant impact on the effectiveness of officials, and will only be valid if the team name on the jerseys corresponds to the name the team is competing under and all players on the team are wearing the same jersey design.
The PSP rules will be amended as follows:
8.1.11.3: Deleted (footwear restriction)
8.6.3.2: Deleted (hopper restriction)
Add:
8.7.3. The color yellow is prohibited on any player equipment or clothing, except that a player's jersey, pants, gloves or shoes may have yellow so long as no part of yellow coloring is more than 0.25 cm from some other color, and no more than 10% of any 5cm by 5cm square on clothing or item is yellow.
8.7.3.1. For reference purposes, 'yellow' is any color similar to Pantone colors 101, 102, 107, 108, 109, 116, 3945, 3955, 3965, and 803, although any head judge may prohibit any equipment they believe interferes with the judges' ability to officiate effectively.
Paintball Sports Promotions will be kicking off the 2010 season with the PSP Phoenix Open March 19 - 21 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Como ya se venía rumoreando, la organización de la PSP, ya ha hecho publicas las nuevas reglas relacionadas con la velocidad de disparo para el año 2008.7.3.6. A marker may fire at a maximum rate of 13.33 balls per second.
7.3.6.1. A player on the field of play during a game whose marker shoots more than one paintball within 65 milliseconds will receive a gross penalty.
7.3.6.2. A player on the field of play during a game whose marker shoots more than one paintball within 70 milliseconds will be assessed a major penalty.
7.3.6.3. A player on the field of play during a game whose marker shoots more than one paintball within 75 milliseconds* will be assessed a minor penalty.
* A measurement of 75.0 milliseconds or higher is acceptable. A measurement of 74.9 milliseconds or lower will be penalized.
En otras palabras, el máximo rate of fire, (bolas por segundo) será de 13.33, con esto se aseguran una entrada extra las empresas del paintball, ya que algunas marcadoras no tienen la posibilidad de cambiar esto con las placas de serie, otra trampa más para sacarnos dinero.
Intercontinental Paintball Cup 2008
El año próximo se realizará la Copa Intercontinental de paintball, solo participarán equipos que hayan jugado completa alguna de las series del 2007, PSP, PALS, CSP South African o Milleniums.
Este puede ser el mayor evento del año 2008 y el objetivo principal de los equipos alrededor del mundo será calificarse para poder participar en la próxima temporada.
Copa del mundo 2007 en Orlando-Florida
Paintball Sports Promotions ha presentado el pasado 5 de Julio la Copa del Mundo 2007. Este evento volverá a las instalaciones del "Disney's Wide Wolrd of Sports Complex" en Octubre entre el día 24 y 28.
Esta Copa del Mundo es el mayor torneo profesional del planeta con aproximadamente 400 equipos de todo el mundo compitiendo por los más de 100.000$ en premios. Las partidas se disputarán simultáneamente en 10 campos y se espera batir el record de asistencia de los pasados dos años.
Adicionalmente al que probablemente sea el mejor torneo del mundo también se celebrará la mayor feria de productos relacionados con el paintball.
